It seems more cinematic than game to me, but it's still quite nice.
With that in mind, maybe it could work for an Elder Scrolls type game...

bassfiddlejones responds:

I agree, I think. Sadly we are quite confined in regard to placing audio in the proper genre, so it got lumped into "Video Game". Glad you liked the piece! :)

Very nice. Some parts reminded me a bit of Phoenix Wright :D
Let's see... For the most part it was really nice, it seemed a bit hollow in parts (as if it were missing another instrument or something) particularly just before the end section and after the middle.

Stavier responds:

Yeah sorta, I meant to just make this a more catchy/subtle type of 8-bit song. Thanx for da review!!!

This brought back a lot of great memories. Thanks :D

YakityYach responds:

Thank you for enjoying it as much as I did making it :D

I like this a lot.
It really does have that Persona sound to it.
I think it's the repetition of the mysterious and unfamiliar chords accompanied with the active drums kinda doing their own thing.
Also are those Guitar Pro drums?
I think I recognize the sound as the Guitar Pro RSE, but I could be wrong.

Jeepis responds:

Yes.

This piece fills me with wonder, illustrating to me vast panoramas and spectacles in an atmosphere and environment so alien yet so familiar.
Like something ancient being discovered for the first time by a youth exploring in the wilderness.

I very much appreciate that you know how to use your voice. I mean that in this way: not only do you have a wonderful singing voice (classically trained, I am assuming) but you use it's strengths to sing in the appropriate style and in an appropriate genre.

My I am rambling.
I have been up all night.

Anyway, I love this work, and I'm glad to have stumbled upon you and your various works here. It actually feels rather similar to the feelings and images that I get from this amazing musical piece of yours, actually... I think there might something to that.

Jessismith responds:

This is a beautiful comment. Thank you for sharing it. :)

I return

I first heard this submission YEARS ago.
I decided to search for it just now and found it again.
Thanks for being an influence on my life.

digital-musician responds:

Late response, but glad to hear that you tracked it down again. Yeah, it's gonna habit of sticking around the joint. No probs

After about 4 years...

After about 4 years since I first discovered this song, I found it here again.

Seriously, this is one of the best songs I've heard on Newgrounds.
One of the best songs I've heard period.

I think that this song is why I like DnB for the drums.

Erectronik responds:

I log in after a long hiatus and people like you still love this old style of mine :)
I will consider reviving this style in future works.. Although I do not always post to this account as much anymore. Good to hear!

o.O

The truly eerie thing about this song is that it starts off the same way as a song that I've been writing for a couple days.
I just heard this song today.
Great song though, very professional.
It has a sort of Zombie James Bond feel to it. That would be a kickass movie...

Evil-Dog responds:

Zombie James Bond hahaha nice! that's original

Nice Job

I can say, being an artist who has done this song myself, that you have done an excellent job.

Sorrow-316 responds:

yeah, I remember Hearing yours, its the Remix one thats Kinda Techno-like? its a Very good Remix. thanks for Reviewing!

7/10

You obviously have talent with guitars.
The buzz in the mic is a bit annoying, so I'd suggest getting a better way to record.
The recording quality is the main part that I didn't like.
Keep on keeping on...

PantomineX responds:

Hahah, well my Laptop Recording is something I really dislike. But at the same time, I don't have the money right now to get the right recording equipment. Maybe when Christmas is over, eh?
