Is that a "Night Time" reference I hear in there???

Yahtzei responds:

Now that you mention it, I hear it too! Completely unintentional, but I'm so flattered this made you think of Night Time <3

Decent but this is seriously clip city

Teckmo-X responds:

It was an early small track ^.^

I can't even pretend to judge this any less than 5 stars because you happened to use one of my favorite chord progressions starting at 00:55 and you pulled it off wonderfully. The bassline you've used is great there, and those arpeggios that come in seem so soulful. Seriously a masterwork here. I'm going to be studying this one for quite some time to come!

Yahtzei responds:

Thank you so much! :D this is probably my favourite of all my tracks. I'm so glad you enjoyed it :) thank you for the lovely review.

This is definitely a nice song, but the atmosphere sounds more like a map theme than a battle theme. to
To make it sound more like a battle I would make the percussion a bit more faster or upbeat. The whole song needs a little more tempo overall too. As it is now though, the song would make a great dungeon theme.

GamekrazzyProduction responds:

hmm... if you say so. I'm perfectly content with the way it is. I am after all working on this game, and have tested the way it feels in an encounter like situation. trust me, you add the Noise gate sound effect that most rpg's use for encounters and this fits just fine.

Thanks for the review though!

This is some seriously good shit.
Beautifully melancholy yet almost bittersweet too.

garlagan responds:

Very interesting way of describing it. Thank you shrugo

Very cool. You've got a nice style in this piece.

SuperGoodSound responds:

i was pretty happy with it tooooo

This is cool. You should try making some video game tracks. I would love to hear you do that (more of it I guess because this has that vibe)

Aslai responds:

Well that's exactly what I made it for :)
I used it for my Ludum Dare 27 entry, which can be found here: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-27/?action=preview&uid=8782

Wow this is fantastic! Are you a professional?

RiverK responds:

I do paid work, but I think the exact definition of "professional" is someone who's actually good at what they do lol thanks very much though!

It's pretty good, but something about the timing seems off, starting around 15 seconds and continuing for the rest of the song. And sometimes the singing is off/late/early but it's punk enough where it doesn't matter. Maybe just put more emotion into the singing (whoever sang) and sing louder. It's pretty decent though.

Keegs responds:

Thanks man! Check out my latest 2 punk songs! Hopefully those improved a bit!

I'm glad you used the chord progression you did.
I'm sad to say I don't hear that one on the Audio Portal so much as I used to, yet it used to be rather common here when I was a kid (wow it's weird thinking that I grew up on Newgrounds...)

Anyway, nice work here. Not quite my style, but I can hear the spark of experimentation in it, which is always a good thing.

Treysen responds:

Sad I missed out on the more common years of such a progression! I was just playing with Toxic and played this out and was like... yes... this is how it must sound haha... I will probably be making more music with this progression :] Glad for the comment!
